How to Use SureMembers’ Restrict this Block Setting?

SureMembers makes it easy to control exactly who can see specific content blocks on your site, without using shortcodes or custom code.

The “Restrict this Block” setting is built directly into the block editor sidebar, letting you show or hide blocks based on membership rules. It’s perfect for tailoring content to members, hiding purchase buttons from existing customers, or creating dynamic upsell sections.

What Is “Restrict this Block”?

The “Restrict this Block” option appears in the right-hand block settings panel whenever you select a block in the WordPress editor.

Once enabled, you’ll see:

  • Show this content if the user:
    Choose:
    • is in membership(s), or
    • is not in membership(s)
  • Membershipp(s):
    Select one or more groups to control visibility.
