How to Use SureMembers’ Restrict this Block Setting?
SureMembers makes it easy to control exactly who can see specific content blocks on your site, without using shortcodes or custom code.
The “Restrict this Block” setting is built directly into the block editor sidebar, letting you show or hide blocks based on access group rules. It’s perfect for tailoring content to members, hiding purchase buttons from existing customers, or creating dynamic upsell sections.
What Is “Restrict this Block”?
The “Restrict this Block” option appears in the right-hand block settings panel whenever you select a block in the WordPress editor.
Once enabled, you’ll see:
- Show this content if user:
Choose:- is in access group(s), or
- is not in access group(s)
- Access Group(s):
Select one or more groups to control visibility.
This lets you create highly specific rules for who sees what, right at the block level.
