Understanding Access Group Priority in SureMembers

Access Group Priority decides which group runs first when a user is in more than one group. All groups still apply, but priority ensures they are processed in the right order.

How to Set Access Group Priority

  1. Go to SureMembers → Access Groups.
  2. Create a new group or edit an existing one.
  3. In the right-hand sidebar, find Priority.
  4. Enter a number. Higher numbers run first.
    • Example: A group with priority 10 runs before a group with priority 5.

Key Things to Remember

  • All groups still apply. Priority only decides the order.
  • With User Role Sync, the higher priority role is applied first.

Best Practices

  • Give higher numbers to your most important groups, like paid memberships.
  • Use simple numbering (10, 20, 30) so you can add new groups later without renumbering everything.
  • Review priorities if you change your setup or add new groups.
