What's New in SureMembers

This release brings WordPress Abilities and MCP integration to SureMembers, letting you manage memberships and pull analytics directly through AI-powered workflows. You can now automate tasks, build custom experiences, and get deeper insight into how members interact with your site.

We’ve also added the new suremembers_list_members shortcode, so you can display members from specific Access Groups anywhere on your site. Think member directories, community pages, or exclusive member listings. Alongside these additions, several UI/UX improvements make day-to-day management feel smoother throughout the plugin.

This is a big one. With the release of SureMembers Core 1.0.0 and SureMembers Pro 3.0.0, SureMembers has been restructured into two dedicated plugins. This change sets a stronger foundation for everything coming next, while keeping your existing membership experience exactly as it is.

Introducing SureMembers Core

SureMembers Core is the new foundational plugin that powers the platform. It handles the shared framework and infrastructure that everything else is built on. By giving this its own dedicated plugin, we can build, scale, and maintain the platform much more efficiently going forward.

SureMembers is now SureMembers Pro

The plugin you already know and use is now called SureMembers Pro. It extends SureMembers Core with all the advanced membership features you rely on: content protection, access management, and premium integrations.

Why the change?

This structure gives the team more room to innovate without slowing things down. Here’s what it unlocks:

• A more solid foundation to build upcoming features on, including Corporate Accounts and user/membership import and export.
• Better long-term stability and maintainability.
• Faster delivery of improvements and new functionality.
• A scalable setup for everything planned ahead.

This release is the groundwork. A lot of exciting things are coming, and they’re being built on top of this.

This update resolves issues where email template content settings could reset unexpectedly in some cases. We’ve also fixed a problem that prevented the welcome email template from being sent to newly registered users, ensuring onboarding emails are delivered consistently.

We’ve enhanced large file download handling by correcting range headers and enforcing proper download behavior. This improves compatibility with browsers and hosting environments, helping users download files more reliably without interruptions.

Fix:

• Resolved an issue where the “User Roles to Decline Admin Access” setting was not saving correctly.
• Resolved an issue where CSV import was creating users but not assigning Access Groups.

This update enhances flexibility by enabling third-party integrations within Membership Settings and improves overall stability by resolving the SureDash badges integration issue.
